Easter, or Resurrection Day, as many Christians refer to the holiday, is a time when we celebrate the resurrection of our Lord, Jesus Christ.
Today is Good Friday, this is a very significant day for Christians as Jesus was crucified today 2000 years ago – it is called Good Friday because of the good deed Jesus did.
My church (Life) held ‘The Watch’ last night which was a night where we all gathered at church which was open from 10 pm till 7am today, to reflect on what Jesus did for us on the cross.
Here are some photos of what church looked like, amazing job the creative team did
The cross is a very significant symbol for Christianity, Jesus was nailed to a cross and beard the sins of the entire world “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.” ~ John 3:16
Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live, even though he dies; and whoever lives and believes in me will never die. (NIV)
On the third day of Easter, Jesus was raised from the dead (Easter Monday) like he had told his 12 disciples.
